About this house rental
The old house use to belong to Dr. McPheeter a civil war surgeon. It was built in 1880. One step up onto the front porch then on more into the front door. The back door has 6 steps up to back porch then no step in to the house. One bedroom (queen), 3/4 bath, Livingroom, dining room (seats 10), kitchen, breakfast nook and laundry all on main floor.
2nd floor: Two bedrooms each with a queen sized bed. One bedroom with 2 singles and a crib, 3/4 bath, full bath on the 2nd floor.

This property was even better than what the listing said. The host was quick to respond to anything that I asked. The listing does say one bathroom, but there are actually three full bathrooms. That was super helpful. There was a huge kitchen that was well stocked, plenty of towels and blankets. There was also ample seating in the living room area and at the dining room table. It was really a wonderful experience overall. The only downside is the dishwasher was not working, which we did not know about ahead of time. But overall, we were very pleased.

Beautiful HUGE house! Tall ceilings make it feel even bigger. There was lots of space for us to spread out, but also come together (loved that there was a table big enough to fit everyone so we could all eat and spend time together playing games). The house is exceptionally clean. Large kitchen for family cooking; I wish the dishwasher had been operational, but it was well-marked that it wasn’t so I just put my teenagers to work washing and drying and it was done in no time. Very close to Cave Country Canoes (15 min), and Marengo Caves (20 min) so this is a great spot to bring the family for a weekend getaway. Thanks for a great stay!

We rented the house to play golf at the Dye and Ross Courses in nearby French Lick, Indiana. The house is beautiful. The hosts were great as well. 4 Bedrooms gave us plenty of room to spread out. The Dining Room and Kitchen are top Notch. We spent a lot of time after golf hanging out not the beautiful balcony and wood burning fire pit. Great place to call home when golfing at French Lick. I highly reccommend this unique property!
