Le Clos de l'Eglise - Inès

There was no breakfast. Not surprising nowadays. I really liked the location in the heart of Giverny, but the owner, who is really personable over the phone, has to realize that we need some warning and strategy about getting a parking place. We need much more information about the whole process, and tips about restaurant hours, etc. Life is not straightforward in a country town.

Neighbours had no toilet paper; I had no tea bags, etc. Very impersonal, and had troubles of my own with a phone that didn’t work. Parking in Giverny is hell, and it is still off season! Fortunately a friend of Clement gave me the code so that I could get my room key in the drop-box. It just as easily could have happened that I didn’t have any luck getting into the place.

Fabulous property well equipped with everything you'd need and was clean and really comfortable. Beautiful location and building in Giverny and close to amenities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again. Also great communication from the hosts on checking in.

There was some noise on the floor above but it wasn't during the night but was quite loud but it wouldn't put me off.

De ligging is perfect. Klein maar fijn.

Niets te wensen

The property was in a perfect position for visiting Giverny by foot and provided a parking space opposite. The property was clean.

The outside of the property could have been attractive but was not cared for and the number on the gate was rusted with only the 5 remaining. One of the pictures in the hallway had slipped out of the frame. The decor in the apartment was a bit depressing. The curtains appeared old and drab. The net curtains were navy blue. The dark brown lamp shade in the centre of the bedroom ceiling was marked and the base of one of the bedside lights was cracked as was the glass on the picture in the bathroom. The light provided when all the lights are on was still dim.
