The property itself was extremely clean and internally as described. It was useful having a toaster, which is rare in holiday lets these days, and a washing machine.
Genoa is quite a nice city with museums/places of interest and restaurants but 2 days is enough, only more if you're exploring the surrounding area.
Accessing the property is not easy as it is done remotely. The host sent the instructions the day before and there were fairly clear but they are convoluted, requiring typing in a code on a keypad then calling an automated number on your phone on 2 separate occasions. In both instances, the tel. number was busy so it took multiple attempts to get the door unlocked.
I was concerned I was locked out on a walkway but you can get back into the first block and the way you came in without a code. The host was responsive on WhatsApp. But this all took time. Not what you need when you arrive at night tired.,
In the flat, there is a key for the 2 outer doors so you don't need to go through that faff again but NB you need to type in the combination code on the door of the flat itself so have your phone with instructions with you and ideally remember the code.
Other points to note:
- There are 2 busy roads over the water from the apartments - at ground level and a flyover above - which is not entirely clear from the photos and are very rarely clear as these suggest. There is therefore some noise, which is largely shut out when you close the French windows but not so good if you want them open or to sit out on the balcony.
- The apartment is around 15mins walk from the city centre
- There is no dishwasher and no bowl for the sink or even a plug.

Property was clean and comfortable, just as described. More of a harbor view than "Sea View" though but view also includes city buildings including a palace. Entry process is a little tricky with keys and codes but overall it's a good value and in a safe area since some streets in Genoa can be a little sketchy.

Once you you navigated the treasure hunt for hidden key boxes and lock combinations, you’ll find an ideal spot for discovering the harbour and the old town of Genoa. The apartment is quite spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the town.

great location in porto vecchio, convenient parking, friendly staff.
worn out forniture, water heater was leaking and noisy (hard to sleep on the second bed in the living room due to the noise).
