The hotel was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable which I really needed after a huge amount of climbing the steep hills of Heights Of Abraham and Lovers Walk. I didn't use the restaurant, so I can't say anything about that. The price was very good. The hotel is in a beautiful area too. I will definitely be going back.

The hotels location was very convenient, the bed was incredibly comfy and the staff are very helpful and polite.
I don't like being pressured to pick a breakfast order the night before, we may not be that hungry so don't want to make a decision the night before, on check in we were asked repeatedly to choose breakfast order.
Unfortunately the coffee machine had broken so only instance coffee at breakfast, this was completely acceptable. When we went down for breakfast, we had to ask for instant coffee, it was not offered. I am sure there was a temporary blip, but still contributed to a less than perfect stay.
The bedroom was rather cold when we arrived, windows wide open, when we went to close the windows we found they did not shut properly meaning it was rather noisey, we were road side in an eves room. The heater on the wall was broken so a pluggin heater was provided which was ample for for the room.
The bathroom was also cold and had a very odd smell to it. For one night we could tolerate it but for longer I would have wanted to be moved.

Very clean room and very comfortable bed. Great location only a ten minute walk into Matlock. Good value for the price we paid and will be back again. Definitely recommend
