About this cottage rental
Le 2 formiche are two rustic apartments that have been restored using local traditions in building and decoration. They are surrounded by meadows and orchards, ideal for those looking for a very relaxing holiday, however short. The two apartments are situated in Cossogno, a picturesque little village in the Val Grande National Park. Here, you can rest and forget the frenetic rhythms of modern life by letting yourself be enveloped in the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.
The two two-room flats are part of a house, but they are independent, completely furnished with all modern comforts and both have a terrace. Bed linen, towels, tea-towels and table clothes are provided. Kitchens have cutlery, a refrigerator, toaster and microwave. The laundry room is in the basement of the house and is shared by the two flats. Solar panels provide hot water and recycled rainwater is used for toilets and for irrigating the garden and vegetable plot. Recycling is encouraged.
The house is reachable only by foot along a 50 m footpath departing from the main street of the village. The nearest long-term parking is in the church square, at 200 m from the house.
One washing machine, big sink and recycling bins (for glass, paper, plastic and aluminium) are in the shared laundry room.
The vegetable garden of Le 2 formiche is there to be enjoyed by all our guests who are free not only to harvest and use its produce but also, if they wish, to devote a little time and care to its maintenance by watering and weeding, etc.

Ein sehr liebevoll gepflegter Garten mir vielen Plätzen zum Verweilen umgibt das kleine, sehr gemütliche Ferienhäuschen. Elena ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die uns zudem mit selbst angebautem frischem Salat und Gemüse versorgt hat. Von Cossogno aus, das beschaulich liegt, kann man gut das Val Grande, aber auch den Lago Maggiore, Lago Mergozzo und Ortasee erreichen und sich nach den Ausflügen in dem schönen Quartier ausruhen. Wir können die „due formiche“ also wärmstens empfehlen.
