Campora House

Really lovely old farmhouse that makes a great plase to slow down. Having a car coming here is recommended, but we also got a contact though the owners with a great car that also beat taxi prices to go to the airport. Clean rooms and a wonderful location. Great service and hospitality. Lovely dogs that want some petting and a cat that also would like some attention. All the animals respect your choice to pet them or not and spend most of their time by themselves. Very good breakfast with coffee , tea, an organic fruit drink, croissants, white and brown bread, marmelade and apricot jam and yoghurt. Lovely to be able to order when we wanted breakfast.

Improvements are hard to make in an old house.

An extraordinary place, just like its owners. A Tuscan atmosphere, peaceful, with only the sounds of nature. Lovely dogs and cats make the time even more pleasant. A well-kept property, with a modest breakfast included. Nothing is missing. Lots of freedom and tranquility. Highly recommended.

Vorweg muss man sagen, dass auf unsere Bitten (zusätzliche Decken, neue Handtücher) sofort reagiert wurde und Carlotta und auch Husnain sehr bemüht sind. Nachdem beim hinsetzen auf das Doppelbett (im Doppelzimmer) zwei Beine abgebrochen sind wurde das gesamte Bett ausgetauscht. Zimmer und Bäder sind sauber.

Das Gebäude und die Aussenanlage haben tolles Potential. Leider ist vieles verwahrlost. Der Frühstücksraum wirkt wie ein Lager mit vielen Kartons, Staub und Spinnweben in das ein Tisch und 4 Sesseln gequetscht wurden. Der gemeinsame abschüssige Innenhof hat kein Licht, einen kleinen Tisch mit 4 kleinen Sesseln und keine Aussicht. Die Terrassen sind nicht hergerichtet und somit nicht nutzbar (Sitzbank in Plastik eingepackt, nichts gesäubert, Holzlauben hängen herunter). Das Frühstück ist selbst für italienische Verhältnisse sehr übersichtlich. Sehr kross getoastetes (altes?) Brot, Supermarkt-Croissant, Butter, Marmelade, Joghurt. Einmal war keine Milch mehr da, dann kein Saft. Am nächsten Tag wie versprochen wieder am Tisch, nur da hat man an dem Tag nichts davon. Jede einzelne Sache nicht schlimm, aber in Summe eine äußerst enttäuschende Wohnerfahrung.
