About this apartment rental
Very quiet 26 m2 studio in an old Paris building with two paved yards, far from the street.
The flat is located in a second yard, which is one level above the street; this supposes to go up 15 steps.
There is a small kitchen, which can be closed, and a small bathroom.
Many cupboards.
A double bed is offered, which can be completed by a single bed, usually used as a sofa, for a child for instance.
In summertime, this flat is quite pleasant as a private and flowered 12 m2 terrace allows you to have a meal outside.
It is located close to all shops and public transport(underground and bus connected to Bastille and the centre of Paris, Velib bicycle station).
We can eventually leave our car park if you need it, which is 5' walk away.

Host, Veronique, was very good and welcoming plus farewelling us. Directions given were accurate and easy to follow.The location is great being close to a metro that had 1 change and then into the centre of the city. The local shop / restaurants were right on the doorstep. The apartment was cosy and comfortable.

If you looking for something filled with plastic and IKEA furniture, this place is probably not for you. On the other hand, if you want a place with character in a great little neighborhood and a friendly host, I’d recommend booking!

First off, we had the opportunity to meet and talk with the owner. She lives next door and is a lovely lady who speaks excellent English. She was responsive and helpful. Additionally, the studio is quite close to the metro station, giving you easy access to most of Paris.
All that said, we would probably not choose to stay here again. Most sights were 40 or more minutes away by metro. The area was much more urban than we had anticipated. We never felt unsafe there and there are great bakeries and restaurants nearby, but it wasn’t an attractive area of Paris.
The studio was very hot. There is no air conditioning, and no way to open a window. I often smelled a powerful musty smell (similar to a damp basement) when walking into the apartment.
The listing states a spa / hot tub? We did not see this at all. There is no tub - only a shower.
