Hotel Medusa

Modern and spacious room with spectacular views, very clean and excellent breakfast. The location was also perfect and staff was friendly.

The room was excellent with a sea view, cleaned everyday with fresh bedding. Breakfast was Buffett with a wide choice of food available, topped up regularly. You can eat on the terrace, so can see the sea. Or inside. It’s a short walk to the square and the beach is opposite the hotel. The town is a traditional Italian town, so not set up for tourists. Most bars and restaurants only have the menus in Italian. And English isn’t spoken by the majority of people.

The only down side was, mosquitos. Mainly around the bike wash out the back on the ground floor. So take repellent. As long as you keep covered up. You will be fine.

The hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly. They knew me by name. The breakfast was good, having the option of being on the outdoor patio was a nice touch. It was a beautiful view. The room was sparkling clean. You can have an espresso or coffee drink in the morning with breakfast, as much as you want. Being in the middle of everything and so close to the train station was very helpful. There was a desk in my room, that was really nice to have because traveling often requires desk work.

The towels and wash cloths were not soft. You can hear people coming and going from their rooms in the halls. If they are loud in their room, you can sometimes hear them in yours with doors and windows shut. It was muffled, not clear.
