Beautiful location and building. We were upgraded to a room with a 4-poster bed. It was gorgeous. My daughter was so excited! Delicious breakfast too.

Beautiful setting for a grand old building. Views were stunning. Room 222 with its four poster bed was huge. Staff were amazing, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel needs updating but it still has a lot of charm and character and well worth a visit. Breakfast was very literal so if you want eggs or sausages rather than an egg or a sausage please ask the staff at breakfast. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Booked a last minute 3 night stay here looking for a relaxing break and thats what we got. The hotel is directly on the banks of the Tweed a little out of town but that makes it very peaceful. Primary reason for choosing was that it is dog friendly and dogs are made welcome in almost every area. We booked a deluxe room and were allocated a river view suite which was lovely. The whole place felt homely and relaxing you could be yourself. We ate in on 2 nights and the food was good, as was breakfast each morning. All staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
