About this apartment rental
Bright cozy loft with large living room and kitchen that open onto the covered furnished terrace overlooking the large garden. It comfortably accommodates 6 people. Furnished and equipped, air conditioning, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, every comfort. Extremely silent, in one of the few remaining neighborhoods of old Milan. The street overlooks the church of San Cristoforo and the Navigli. In a few minutes on foot you can reach Via Tortona and the Design District, the Museum of Cultures, the Vicolo dei Lavandai, the Darsena, Porta Ticinese. Well connected to Piazza Duomo in the center by tram and bus. The metro stations of Porta Genova and Romolo are within walking distance.
In addition to the terrace, guests can enjoy the garden owned by a few condominiums, equipped with tables, chairs and deck chairs ideal for relaxing.

I have rented many VRBOs and am quite good at ascertaining the general vibe from the pictures. Mara's modest- but lovely! - old world apartment is exactly what I expected and wanted. Her garden on the terrace is just perfect for morning coffee or otherwise relaxing. The main bed was very comfortable (important to me!) and there is a dishwasher and washing machine. It was extremely hot in Milan when my friend and I were there -- the heat doesn't bother me, but note the air conditioning is not up to a big heat wave. The location is absolutely perfect -- an easy tram to everything two blocks away. If you are looking to live for a bit like a local in Navigli, this is perfect. My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful terrace with plants (open air, no screens), nicely decorated with art. Mara was very welcoming and helpful. We appreciated having coffee and soap bars and nice towels in bathrooms. We missed that there was A/C and so it was warm and a little stuffy at night. Staircase to upstairs bedroom is narrow with no railing on one side but that was manageable. Sitting area, the balcony and kitchen were all very nice. We appreciated Mara calling a taxi for us when time to go. It was really fun walking along the canal and watching the rowers. Our daughter who’s a runner liked running along the canal. There was a very good restaurant nearby on the canal along with some more casual ones. Real convenient to have a trolley stop close by too.

The pictures are very accurate of the space. The ceilings are high (which is hard to tell form the pictures) making it feel very spacious.
There are lots of plant inside and outside. The mosquitos were unbearable at the time of our visit so we couldn't really use the outside. We also needed to water some of the plants during our stay.
The air-conditioning was unable to keep the space cool during the hot summer time we visited.
Mara was a gracious host trying to help us with things we needed and was responsive.
