We were 5 adults and 2 kids and spent the perfect 5 days in Ruka.

Excellent location in close proximity of the slopes and village, yet in its own private area. The hosts were helpful. The bedrooms are spacious and layout is comfortable for extended family. The view and log exterior is nice.

The interior of the house would need updating; the surfaces and furniture are worn down and a bit dated, the dishwasher is crooked and does not open up correctly, the laundry machine and TV (with WEE and DVD player) are old to the point that we actually needed help in using them. Also, the house comes with plenty stored things from the owner or previous users, for example there were 1/4 bottle of ketchup and many other used food supplies in the fridge, which we did not know to expect (it is like a home in use, whereas we expected clean and empty). And it’s not that we would generally complain about things being worn down, but with this price range and pictures, we were expecting more lux, and were therefore a bit disappointed unfortunately.
