Pierre & Vacances Résidence Le Chant des Oiseaux

What a fantastic start to our Euro tour, we principally wanted to experience & explore many of the D-Day sites, beeches and memorials and Courseulles-sur-Mer is a perfect location to do this, its a gorgeous small French port with lots of character, good restaurants, bakeries and situated right on Juno beech near the Canadian memorial. We found the people really very friendly and helpful and the town felt very French and authentic. Pierre & Vacances Résidence is a small friendly site, with a decent swimming pool and sun lounger area. The site is perfect if you have pets as you can access the near-by open grassed areas along the river bank and onto the sand dunes. We asked for a quite ground floor apartment and this is exactly whet we got. (Nice one Thanks) The apartment itself was compact in size overall and particularly the bedroom which was ridiculously tight. However overall it was very comfy, with an adequate kitchenette and a small but nice living and patio areas

The apartment was meant to be suitable for 4 people, however we found it a bit small even for 2 of us and a dalmatian dog, so I would advise you choose an apartment carefully to suit your needs. Plus as above the bedroom was extremely small, with no provision for hanging clothes and you genuinely struggled to move around the bed it was so close to the walls.

No air conditioning so the rooms were very hot.
