The Hotel allowed young children to roam throughout the hotel without parents (aged 2 years old and older), with no Child Protection in place. This was at 11pm, and allowed to proceed after I raised the matter with Reception. They were still running unsupervised at 2.30am when another guest reported it to Reception. Many drunken revellers in the bar area, some in their pyjamas, barefooted, or scantily dressed - yet the bar continued to serve drink.
Next morning, we were woken before 8am by buses starting and revving their engines loudly for approx. 20 minutes (we were on the 3rd floor), and then at 9am room cleaners began loudly knocking on our door. I spoke to a Manager about my complaint the night before, and about the buses, and he was to investigate the matters and leave his contact details in my room, but this never happened. When we returned after a day out, we went to our room, and it had not been cleaned. We had to ring reception twice to get them to eventually come and refresh our room. We left the room to allow this and went to the bar. The Hotel offered us another room; however, this was on the floor where the guests the previous night had been kept awake by children running amok at 2.30am, so we declined the offer. Our third drink in the bar resulted in the bottom of the beer glass having something stuck to the inside of the glass. I brought this to the attention of the receptionist, to be told dismissively by the receptionist that she was going to 'get the Manager,' to which I explained where we were sitting, yet no one came. After a few hours, we returned to find they had merely moved across the bed linen, thrown 12 towels on the TV bench, not left any toilet roll, never emptied the bins, and never replaced new cups or milk. Remember, this is supposed to be a 4 Star hotel.
There are major Child Protection and welfare issues with this Hotel, and their dismissal of complaints about these made to staff.

Couldn't use hair dryer because it wouldn't stretch to mirror. No plug near mirror so really useless for its purpose.
Only shower get in bathroom and it was definitely watered down.
Large room was only positive.
Good 3 star but not 4 star
