About this apartment rental
La Vista Grande is a large beautiful two bedroom air conditioned apartment situated within a small collection of renovated 16th Century farm buildings converted into luxury houses and apartments. Located in the 'Parco Benestare', an area of outstanding natural beauty in the communes of Gambassi Terme and Montaione, Podere Collinella is ideally situated in a beautiful rural location with fabulous panoramic 360 degree views. La Vista Grande has been sympathetically restored and now offers a high standard of accommodation whilst retaining lovely features such as vaulted ceilings with chestnut beams and terracotta tiled floors throughout. Key features include; free Wi-Fi, Air Conditioning, Amazon Prime and Window blind Mosquito nets. Well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Outside you have your own private veranda and garden with terrace, the vine covered gazebo gives shade from the Tuscan sun and the garden has uninterrupted stunning 360 degree views of the stunning Tuscan countryside. Clear night skies allow for wonderful views of the starry night sky.
There is a large shared pool (open 1 June-30 Sept) with its own covered gazebo and sun loungers. The medieval hill towns of Volterra & San Gimignano are both 20 minutes by car and are perfect for sightseeing. The farmhouse is surrounded by olive groves & woodland and accessed along its own private gravel road.
Note: Apartment is protected by a smoke & carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. A first aid kit is available.

This may sound a bit exaggerated, but I assure you it isn't. We have been to Tuscany on a few occasions, but this apartment was the most beautiful, tranquil and well-equipped property that we have stayed in. The apartment is very comfortable and relaxing, spacious and airy, a functioning kitchen (which isn't always the case in rental properties) well-tended, colourful gardens, a lovely pool and wonderful views. Mike's advice to stock up enroute at the Conad supermarket is worth following, so that you don't have to drive to Gambassi Carrefour too often (although it is a friendly store). There are restaurants of various levels in the area, and we ate well at all those we visited. We stayed for two weeks, and I wish it had been three.

Lovely, quiet spot to stay. Enjoyed the pool and wonderful views. Great communication and quick responses from our host. Excellent information provided prior to our arrival and as well once we arrived. Air conditioning in the bedrooms made sleeping easy in the hot heat while there. Very clean, comfortable furniture and beds and the kitchen is very well stocked. If you want to get out of the big cities and stay in Tuscany this is an excellent base and the travel out to the various towns are easy drives. Highly recommend.

This property is absolutely stunning and peaceful. My wife and I booked for our anniversary and it was exactly what we were looking for. A quiet, peaceful Tuscan countryside retreat. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the view absolutely stunning. Mike was an amazing host who provided all the information we needed for an amazing stay!

We have just had the most wonderful time in Mike's apartment. It's along a dusty track (a car is most certainly needed). It's literally in the middle of the countryside, with the most incredible views (if you try, you can just about make out the odd car in the distance), very, very peaceful. The apartment was exceptionally clean, everything worked beautifully. The rooms are delightful with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was well thought out with every appliance we could possibly need. Again stunning views from every window. The terrace was a delight to use.Despite the complex having a number of apartments, even in the middle of August it was nowhere near full capacity. Therefore the pool area was deserted most of the time - with the odd person having a dip alongside us now and again. The pool was clean and very well maintained.Mike was very helpful. We needed a doctor on the Italian's version of a bank holiday and he helped guide us in the right direction. We also had a power outrage one day when using the oven and the air con being on - he very quickly pointed us in the right direction. To be fair to him, all the information was in the folder that was left but he helped us none the less. The information about the apartment and the area was by far the most helpful we have had and found them invaluable. Many thanks Mike for a wonderful stay and all your help.
