Helmut was a wonderful host! He treated us like family. The breakfast he made us was beyond good. He gave us great advice when our plans had to change because of the weather. We would highly recommend this little piece of heaven!

An amazing, cozy place, surrounded by nature. It is in the middle of the forest with a stream right by it. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm, they breakfast was great, the room was very spacious and clean, there was plenty of hot water, and the kitchen was equipped with all we needed. The stream is right below the rooms but the windows are sealed quite good as we barely heard it inside. It was a short walk to the Chafberg train station and the village, although quite a steep walk.
The location was pretty isolated, but that’s the price you pay if you want to be surrounded by nature (:
There is either a nice short trail or a steep road to the center, not so much fun when it’s rainy but either than that not a problem at all

This accommodation and location are not to be missed. A romantic, gem of a spot. The house is an old logging mill and has so much charm. The room we stayed in had a lovely balcony with a river that ran beside it and the night sky could be enjoyed from there. The sound of the water from the river lulled you to sleep, and the view was magical. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. There were also a table and chairs outside to enjoy the space and a clothes line.The place was spotlessly clean. The tiled bathroom was in keeping with the traditional house. There was a large sofa and table also available to sit and converse. The owner also provided a bar in the house for residents to use at a much cheaper rate than the bars in town. Also, coffee and tea is available here too The town itself had charm and tradition bursting from its seams. We went for a swim in the town lake as suggested by the owner, and it was beautiful. There is a train that runs up the side of the mountain that you can take and the views are marvelous. The house itself is a small walk into town along a charming gravel path with benches and views upon views positioned along the way, The breakfast was fresh yogart and granola fresh fruit, eggs, ham, speck, cheese, and bread all very tasty and plentiful.
Perhaps better pillows, but these pillows are common in Austria. We did not notice a sign out front perhaps we missed this but there is ample parking, which was great........If you were not physically able to walk well, perhaps it could be an issue staying here, as you are a short distance from town and the surface to walk to the house is a little uneven . WE WOULD 100 percent recommend this place. DON'T be too put off
