Grand Italian hotel with good facilities, close to railway station. Room was well equipped and breakfast was adequate. Go elsewhere for dinner as dining room was deserted both nights of our stay.

On arrival all curtains and shutters closed in the room in an attempt to keep the heat out. Air conditioning only working in dressing area, not in bedroom. We told reception several times who told us it would be fixed-it wasn’t. 34 degrees in Parma, hardly any sleep due to heat in room and couldn’t have any daylight coming in. On the plus side, good bedding, decent breakfast. Would never stay there again. Needs a complete overhaul to provide modern accommodation.
