    The hôtel is great. Clean, attentive, secure. Lovely interior. The surrounding area appears rough, but we did not have any issues with the street people that seem largely prevalent in the area.

    If you see other reviews suggesting the area is dangerous, I would ignore. I am 60, my husband 67, we have lived and worked in 'urban' settings and this area is unexceptional in that respect. The hotel is pleasant, our room spacious and clean, friendly helpful staff. Recommended.

    We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in total, in 2 different rooms. One room was pretty small and the airco was working just towards the bed, it was not convenient at all, we couldn't do without it since it was pretty hot outside. On the last night of the stay the fire alarm went off at night around 1am and we had to evacuate ourselves without any guidance, since the stuff was not there. All hotel guests had to stay outside and wait for further instructions and we got none, one stuff member showed up and said that we could return after 30min wait outside. My friend was 6 months pregnant and it was really stressful for her. No apologies nor explanations followed, so we kept worrying till the check out time. It's not the service we expected. Do not recommend.
