Very nice view South from the slope of Kaunispää. Good set of appliances in the cabin, which itself is clean.
For this price point, I think the cabin and appliances should be flawless. Now you notice small things, which would be easy to fix, if the owner would put a bit more attention to details. For example, kitchen had few broken/burned tools, one toilet seat was slightly broken and cabin tv/infotainment and kitchen appliances are somewhat outdated. All would be acceptable, if price was something else than 400€ per night. So not the best value. There are similar or better options in Saariselkä at the same price.

Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een gezin. Voldoende leefruimte, comfortabele slaapkamers en badkamer. Uitstekend gelegen ten opzichte van alle arctische activiteiten.
Appartement kon je niet lekker ventileren omdat de ramen niet open konden.

Beautiful wooden house, nice sauna with the wind of to look outside at the frozen landscape. Cozy living room with fireplace all built with big tree trunks.
the TV has inly finnish channels… we didnt use it at all, bring your own table games and cards…it works as a detox
The house is few kilometres away from the centre, which is what we were looking for to have an immersive experience in the nature and see the polar lights. If you book it, you will need a rental car.
The division of the rooms is not the most practical , you have one proper double bed room which gives privacy because separated by a wall and a door, apart from that you have two other smaller rooms where you can fit two persons but are better suited for one person and another bigger room where you can fit two or three persons but is open on the stairs, so with limited privacy.
In the entrance there is also a big dryer where you can put all your clothes if they are wet from going outside in the snow (it is as big as a mid size fridge)
the main thing we really didn’t like is the price, way too high also for finland and for saariselka.
in the end was ok because we saw polar lights ( by making tours) 3 of the 5 days we stayed but a couple of times we asked ourselves if that price wasn’t too exaggerated.
