The location, and cleanliness
The wooden flooring in the living room had a strong and unpleasant smell.

Next to the lake
We booked it because it had multiple jets where we intended to park our boat. Unfortunately they told us their policy had changed and only owners not renters could do that. I said I would pay and they told me it would be £600 for three days!! Kinda spoiled the stay for us.

The pod was clean they upgraded our view to a lake view which was lovely. The bed was comfortable and they was a few woodland trails. It’s only a seven minute drive into lake Winderemere town.
The hob takes a really long time to cook anything on as it doesn’t get very hot. Should maybe add an air fryer as the cooking facilities are quite sparse with the hob, toaster and microwave. The cafe and shop was unfortunately closed when we visited would have loved to see what that was like.

Location is good, quiet place. Decent size on the rooms.
The property was very dirty and it smelt . Four of us spent around an hour to clean before we started to settle in. A lot of dog hair and all the stuff inside the property smelt bad.
