The Bridge Tavern

Food was great, the staff very nice and helpful, beautiful location next to the river and bridge. There was life music on friday and saturday.

The whole place could use a little modernisation. The window in the bedroom would barely open and there was not proper ventilation. Everthing was very clean but it did feel a bit muggy inside at times.

It was Saturday night and the evening was very noisy with music until quite late.

We only had cold water when showering late at night, which was disappointing. It seems to be a known issue, as other guests have mentioned it too. Friends of ours showered earlier in a different room and had hot water — so this definitely shouldn’t be happening. The toilet seat urgently needs to be replaced, as it is heavily worn and discolored, which detracts from the otherwise clean and nice bathroom. Also, the rooms are located in an older building and are not well insulated, so you can hear neighbors and music from the pub below. This didn’t bother us much since we expected it, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to noise. Overall, it felt a bit overpriced for what you get.
