Parking on arrival was easy and we felt, safe. The room we had was very spacious, and the bed very comfortable. Everything was clean and of a good standard. The little patio area, we were allocated, and the view to the garden(s) area was lovely. Well planted with spring flowers. The evening meal in the main house was really enjoyable, all the moreso because finding somewhere to eat out on a Sunday in France is difficult. So we really appreciated not only the quality of our meal, but the staff were prepared and willing to cook for us on a Sunday evening. Breakfast was a definite delight. Not only were we offered the usual croissants, etc, but there were three different homemade cakes, As well as wonderful looking varieties of goats cheese (too early sadly for my tastebuds), local yoghourt which was delicious, fresh fruit salad and copious amounts of tea and coffee. Homemade jams too were on offer. Staff were all really pleasant. We would definitely recommend a stopover if you are visiting or passing through this area. We also spent a good hour meandering round the village/town of Bonneville itself. And for a Sunday it too was more vibrant and interesting than many small towns/villages we have visited on a Sunday in our travels.

Only problem we had was the water in bathroom was really low pressure but it was -4 degrees!!

Old period building. Nice furnishings.
Lack of staff. Busy road couldn’t have window open and no air con.
