So far I have never paid deposit when booking on this platform. Property tax to be paid extra. Parking is not free, 10chf per night.
These extra were not informed when booking.
Calculations done wrong when asked to check person on counter got upset.
System not updated after paying the tax, asked for it again when checking out.

Gemütlich, sauber, ruhig, praktisch eingerichtet.

Great location.
There was some confusion around the number of guest. We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples. There was an email showing each. The rooms had a double bed but we were advised that we had only booked for one person per room and were required to pay an additional CHF 100 (including breakfast) per person per night. A look at the differences in cost of one or two persons per room on the Booking.com website reflects that we were very heavily penalised. As it was a busy time of year and we were unlikely to obtain other accommodation at short notice we were forced to pay this additional costs. On arrival home, I sent a copy of the email showing the confirmation of 2 persons per room and a total of 4 person. My emails have been ignored. BEWARE - ensure that number of people per room is correct or you will be charged a highly inflated rate for the second person in the room. As advised by a local Grindelwald resident - tourists in Grindelwald are cannon fodder
