Hotel Sunora - Ski In Ski Out - Formerly Hotel Schranz

Location is superb with uninterrupted views on the mountains and real ski in ski out. The suites have balconies facing both south and west. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Incredibly friendly staff. The Spa area is superb with a great pool and relaxation area.

Only one area for improvement might be to use the wonderful reception area more in the afternoon / early evening to allow for guests to relax and have a drink after skiing / before going out for dinner.

Clean and comfortable hotel, I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We made a mistake in dates while ordering and they found a good solution for us, although they did have to. And they were very pleasant and helpful during all our stay. Breakfast was good, and the staff, both in the breakfast room and at reception, were consistently friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. The spa area, private indoor parking, and ski room were all well maintained and in good condition.

It’s very very close to the slopes, but it’s definitely not ski-in/ski-out in the way we use that term. You still need to walk with your skis both for ski in and ski out. There’s no dinner service, so you have to go into town. It only takes 10–15 minutes to get to the town, but it can be tricky in rain or snow. On the way back, you need to walk up a hill to reach the hotel, which isn’t easy, especially after dinner and particularly with kids and/or older people. You should definitely consider taking taxi. Overall, although it has some upsides, we found it a bit overpriced compared to its price and to the other hotels in the area.
