The property is well equipped and specced to a high standard. We had a large balcony that ran right along the front, giving a fantastic, uninterrupted view of the lake and mountains. The private garden and jetty are lovely, as was swimming in the lake!
The location’s also really peaceful, being pretty much at the end of the road. We found it took us anout an hour to casually stroll into St Wolfgang’s centre, but you can walk to the boat stop in fifteen minutes.
The owners were really friendly and relaxed, looking after us, but also giving us space to do our own thing. I’d definitely recommend Haus Windhager to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, with plenty of nearby options for activity.
Some of the equipment was a little too high spec. We never did work out how to turn the bathroom fan off or really understand how some of the lights were supposed to work, but it was no big deal.

We loved everything, we actually stayed in the house Seeromantik, since we were given a bigger room to not to be close to other guests. The view and the location is absolutely amazing! The only sad thing is, we stayed only 3 nights. We will come back :-)

good and renovated apartment.
not receiving a warm welcome: the owner just asked us to pay without showing us around the apartment.
no hot water in our second and third day. it seems that the owner forgot to turn on the boiler. our children were waiting to take a bath before going to sleep, but there was no hot water until 9pm… so they went to bed without the bath.
the apartment was not clean- found some insects on the shutter which seems dead from long time ago.
our apartment were not ready when we arrived- no bedding and not enough towels by the time we arrived around 3:30pm.
