I booked a room in Botel. From the moment I arrived this old boat smell caught me. My room was number **. It was in the lower deck. You are in the sea level. There was a tiny windows that against the other boat which is used as a deck. When I entered to room sharp smell hit me, I immediately ask for a room change but botel was fully booked. It was like a prison cell. Additionally, whenever a boat crosses by botel shakes. It was like small earthquake. Feels like floor is slipping under your feet. Also since botel have not been moved in year, some still water was constituted with the all kind of bug, mosquitos. There is isolation in room's, whenever a neighbour get in to the toilet you will hear that. Also every inch of floor you walk squeakes. Lastly AC is in aisle but can't help itself either. I can not help myself to think how come somebody charges hundred of euros for such a place.

We really liked our stay in the Botel in Maastricht, we felt that everyone was so gentle and attentive to our needs. The terrace outside is really beautiful on sunny days and clear evenings.
The staff was really amazing and full of advices for us. We had a lot of fun with them, especially with the Irish guy, fully recommended đđ

Very nice placement, close to the center and a nice view, heating wasnât working well but they gave us a mini heater to make up for it! Staff was kind. The rooms are not big, but if youâre visiting all day and just want a place to sleep then itâs decent enough.

Staff & location great but had to sleep diagonally in not very comfortable bed, could not sleep 2 average size people. Ok as a novelty stay for 1 night.
