While the location cannot be faulted, the hotel is so dated it’s like going back in time. The bedrooms in particular are equipped with dated furniture, faded bathrooms with cracked and swollen vanity units and awful pillows. We booked two standard rooms, however one had a double bed and one had a king. One bedroom felt like a youth hostel, while the other was slightly better. We asked for a room change and received an upgrade, which was very nice of them, but the facilities were hardly ‘superior’ which apparently the new room was classed as. The pros weee great location, good tea and coffee selection in the rooms, and an ok breakfast. Personally, I’d stay in the Premier Inn next time and drive a little further!

Perfect location for a quiet night away and country walks the next day.
Gorgeous food, delivered by room service and gym with pool virtually to ourselves. Will definitely be back xx
