Service is top and clean hotel the beautiful lady in the front desk always helpful and smiling she made me felt home, breakfast is fresh and staff are all friendly

On the Mosel, not too far from Cochem.

We felt the owner was quite rude. There was a language barrier as we don’t speak German, but the problems really came with dinner. I don’t eat meat so I ordered fish with “fried potatoes”. They came with bits of bacon in. I complained and he got quite angry. He brought the menu back and I pointed out that it said just potatoes, no mention of bacon. I said I wanted new ones. He stomped off muttering “Mein Gott! Mein Gott!”. Then he came back again with the menu to tell me that it doesn’t mention bacon in German either but “we think they taste better this way”. I said I still wanted new ones. He told me it would take a long time, 15 minutes. In the end it was only about five but my husband has already finished eating by the time my food arrived correctly. The beer garden is a small concreted area full of smokers.
