Welcome, breakfast, good bed, superb view to the gorge (Captain room)

We had the Captain Webb room. Very comfortable with a wonderful view of the gorge and Ironbridge. Roomy and well appointed. Loved the lemon drizzle cake on arrival. The dining room is delightful and (in a good way!) takes you back to the 1850s; well proportioned and decorated in the Arts and Crafts style - a fine tribute to William Morris. Magnificent veggie breakfast. Wide range of fruit with delicious yoghurt. Excellent granary bread. Jules is a superb hostess, most welcoming and knows everything there is to know about customer-service. Plenty of advice for local attractions, evening dining etc and we can recommend D'Arcy's across the river. Great food and a genial host. Loads of other places and pubs though.
A ski lift to get back up the hill after dinner would be good (s'not that bad, really...)

Very warm friendly welcome from Julie. The bedroom and beautiful bathroom were comfortable and quiet with everything you need with little extra treats. Breakfast in the beautiful Xmas atmosphere was first class !!
Parking can be a problem outside b&b ,but we parked over night on little car park at bottom of hill . Could be problem with anyone with limited mobility getting up the hill , therefore try to find street parking outside b&b on quieter days/nights . Our stay was exceptionally busy with Ironbridge Xmas lights and market , so expected parking to be busy.
