Aparthotel Dei Mercanti

I love the proximity to the city center and the metro. The staff was very friendly and they got us into our room at noon when check in was a 2pm. I appreciated his hospitality and both owners were very kind. They had a spacious, extremely clean room with lots of amenities. Bathroom was very large and had a separate water closet from the shower. Provided us with complimentary water and coffee machine as well as iron, slippers, hairdryer. Overall very good stay and highly satisfied. They also provided earplugs in case the city noise was too loud but it didn’t bother me. Has an elevator as well!

The only thing I’d say is the room’s ac stopped going down at 22 C and we couldn’t figure out how to get it down. We managed but opening a window wasn’t really an optic with how close to the tram we were. They had an elevator that worked fine for me, but it is teeny tiny. I could fit myself and a large bag, small bag and backpack. But it was fast!

Lovely couple of nights in Milan . Fabulous location, couldn’t be better, quaint & quirky apart-hotel. The lift deserves a mention, quite something.Friendly and helpful staff, thank you Alfredo and family, would stay again.

Well located very close to the Duomo, Museum & Gallerias surrounded by good, reasonable Restaurants (however often not air-conditioned)

The property was very hard to find and despite being hidden under an arch with a very tiny frontage surrounded by roadworks, the managers insisted that a landmark was unnecessary to assist guests in locating the ‘hotel’. (Adjacent to KFC & then just inside an archway to a piazza). We asked 5 locals when we were literally 50m away who also had extreme difficulty. To add, there was a person with luggage standing in front which completely obscured any signage. The old manual lift with double doors & external cage barely took 1 person & small luggage requiring several trips up & down to complete the process. The front door of the very compact apartment was shabby and uninviting.
