Never knew spending two nights in a cave would be so nice. The apartment was right in the middle of town. The terrace overlooked the main street of town, easily walkable to all the major restaurants and sights. We parked the car in a secured lot about a 10 min walk from the room. The host Francesco was wonderful, he provided us with lots of information about local restaurants. The cave was warm and bright for being a cave. We slept comfortable every night. We highly suggest spending at least two nights.

The perfect location for exploring Matera on foot! Lovely views from the terrace. Well-appointed cave house. Would love to come back someday.
Getting luggage from parking area into the Sassi district (no car zone) is difficult. Just pack light or hire a lift.

Le logement est vraiment bien situé, grand et très bien agencé. La terrasse est très agréable et l’espace bain est vraiment très agréable pour une fin de journée après avoir arpenté les rues escarpées de Matera !
Francesco est accueillant, très réactif et disponible.

La situation de l'appartement et sa terrasse sont juste incroyables ! Prendre son verre de vin accoudé sur le muret de la terrasse, à regarder les personnes qui passent dans la rue... Manger en plein air, en plein centre historique de Matera, le soir ou le matin en août...
L'appartement est très grand, propre, la baignoire est relaxante. Et oui, sans climatisation il est très frais. Vraiment, c'est même surprenant, mais logique puisque vous êtes dans la roche.
