We spent a wonderful week at the end of September / beginning of October in this beautiful, peaceful place.
The location is simply magical—private, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. The accommodation is basic, but it has everything you need. The bed was comfortable, the shower had warm water, and we enjoyed making breakfast on the balcony every morning. We also cooked dinner there twice. There’s no TV, but honestly, we didn’t miss it at all. On the last day, it got a bit colder, but the electric heater provided made it easy to stay warm.
There’s a small shop on the main road with a limited selection of products, and a few good restaurants in Trepejca village, though you’ll need to go up the hill and back down to reach them. If you want to explore further, there’s a bus to Ohrid that stops right next to the shop.
The weather was around 20°C during our stay, and we swam in the crystal-clear lake every day. The water was surprisingly warm—just 30 seconds to adjust, and you’re fine!
Hiking opportunities are just steps away from your little house, with beautiful mountains to explore. We even had some fun encounters with local wildlife: cows coming to the lake to drink, kittens and dogs visiting our stone beach, and we rescued a little crab that had gotten lost in the garden.
We had excellent contact with Misho on WhatsApp. On the day of our arrival, he welcomed us with a bottle of homemade rose wine. We also met his parents, who live in Trepejca—they invited us for a glass of their homemade red wine. They are genuinely warm and friendly people. We felt like visiting old friends, and they even gave us fresh eggs from their own chickens for breakfast on the balcony the next morning.
This place truly feels like a hidden gem, perfect for those who want to unwind, enjoy nature, and experience genuine hospitality.

Beautiful location.
The property felt like more of a frat house than a stay on a serene beach. I was the only other guest aside from a family that played very loud music from 9AM until well after midnight, and essentially got drunk and trashed the common areas. To get to my room I had to pass through their festivities and they had clearly claimed all common areas as theirs. Not the hosts' fault per se, but it shouldn't be rented to other guests if the intended use for another group is an all-night keg party on a beautiful beach. I want to hear waves lapping, I heard hammered guests playing music at top volume at all hour.
