Beautiful location and would really like to visit again in summer when all the flowers will be out and it's BBQ weather. The bird song was plentiful and therapeutic. When the sky was clear we had wonderful starry skies. Pool table and darts board were brilliant in the games room. The fire place was my personal favourite and kept the cottage nice and warm, although the central heating could've done that too. Stream running past the cottage is idyllic and flows into a bigger river next to the cottage. Also very soothing sound. Kitchen great. WiFi excellent for such a rural area. Even had the planes flying over had. On one occasion I think it was two Spitfires manoeuvring in formation, like a ballet in the sky. Also saw modern jet fighters which were loud. Also great location for day trips if you have a car. 3 Zip World's close by. Llandudno, Colwyn and Cowyn by the sea all close. A very charming old cottage modernised well enabling a relaxing wonderful stay.
These are only slight negatives and didn't really bother us. My missus forgot the ceiling was so low in the bedroom and knocked her head on the way back from the toilet. It's easily forgotten, especially when still half asleep. But that's just how the cottages were built back then I suppose? Taps for the bath a little stiff to turn off for the other half. The sofa could probably do with new springs as it was a little worn. But like I say, only very minor issues. We had a wonderful time and recharged our batteries. We didn't meet anyone in person but communication through text or WhatsApp was sufficient. It's a gem of a place.

On arrival , the shrubbery at front had European hornets gathering pollen. These things are huge, but luckily, google put me at ease and they are harmless if left alone. Had to stay indoors after 7pm as midges took a fancy to me , stupidly I only took shorts and t shirt away, I was covered in bites, very itchy. I guess that's country living, was even attacked by them 3/4 way up Snowdon

The location was great for us - this was a family reunion so the location of the cottage made it easy for us to meet family in Betws-y-coed. Lovely and peaceful with the added bonus of ponies in the rear field behind the garden. Children loved the games room - great for teenagers. Cottage well equipped and open fire lovely after a day out.
