Clean bedrooms and showers, friendly helpful staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere in the socialising rooms.
Plus only a short walk into the centre.

Basic accommodation with bunk beds and own bathroom.
Frankly it has been ages since we went to these hostel type of facilities. But since everything in Scotland is expensive, we thought we might try to save some money by going to Morag’s Lodge. It did the trick, centrally located within walking distance from the canal. Offers free coffee and tea round the clock and simple breakfast.
To improve: could provide more hooks/ nightstands/ shelves so we do not have to put everything on bed/ floor.
