Breakfast is delicious and fresh. The location was great.

Just perfect.

We booked a room with private pool, and initially at check-in they placed us in the 2nd level 'tree house' without a pool. That 'tree house room' was REALLY cool; high thatched roof ceiling, huge deck, huge bathroom with open-air walls (I was nervous animals would enter though). Apparently that room no longer has a pool, and the room is no longer listed on Booking as having a pool. Our reservations clearly stated a 'pool'. When guests checked out of a room with pool a few days later, they allowed us to move into that room. The staff helped carry our luggage up, and then back down, the narrow spiral staircase. Nice to have daily breakfast; we always ordered the boiled eggs that came with 1 slice of bacon and toast, juice, coffee/tea. There were ants crawling on the plates, so boiled seemed safest bet! The pool was nice. Outdoor kitchen had 1 countertop burner; no microwave. Small size refrigerator. Staff was GREAT!

It was a very long walk down a hill into a less than nice area of town. Motor bikes and cars whizzing by literally brushing the knuckles of my hands. LOTS of big holes in the road and sidewalks to fall or walk right into. A MACAQUE MONKEY entered our outdoor kitchen one afternoon (climbed over the wall) while I was STANDING AT THE COUNTER chopping onions. Huge monkey. Sat on the counter and proceeded to eat my onions and drink my Bintang beer. He NEVER returned thank goodness! BEWARE that the Laundry Service next door to the Villa Restaurant STOLE my dress and the Laundry mesh bag I gave them to wash it in (it had delicate lace trim). I asked every other day if maybe they misplaced it, placed it in someone else's bag, fell behind the dryer, etc. NOPE. We were there for 1 month, and I think they intentionally steal items, hoping you're only there a few days and don't notice until you get back home. Apparently it's a big scam in Bali, laundry services stealing clothing articles. Take inventory before dropping off and check ASAP.

Very flexible check in time. We arrived at midnight at DPS airport and they had arranged for a driver to pick us up.

Was noisy from people talking outside the villa in the mornings. The sound traveled through the walls.
