Restaurant Hotel Didier Méril

The room was beautiful and had a wonderful view of the beach. The Italian Shower was so good.

The room we were booked into was down 3 flights of steep stone steps and not suitable for someone with some mobility issues. However with no fuss and a smile an alternative room with great views and facilities was found. We were delighted with the room. The dinner was exceptional in every way. I want to return to this hotel. The staff were lovely and the quality of everything is worth paying for.

Room way too small for the cost, no bigger than student accommodation. No room to put anything such as suitcases. Bathroom not much bigger than a motor home. Room 1, where we stayed, is immediately at the top of the steep stairs. Table falling off the wall Dirty bedside cabinet TV maximum sound set to inaudible level, especially when air con is on. Bathroom door jams and squeaks, mainly due to towel hanger Breakfast and meal prices extortionate, we ate out. No room to sit outside and have a drink (not even sure if they sell beer). The only room available to sit and drink had no air con.

The location is good with views over the bay. Breakfast is outstanding as you would expect for a "restaurant with rooms". A huge buffet choice with fresh juice, many cakes etc.

Wifi is a disgrace; very slow until it gave up totally at 10pm Room 4 is a mess - tidy and large enough but a melange of styles, tiny bathroom with annoying step and chicane to enter. Bare Fridge sits on the floor -coffee machine in top; on another counter, is the Kettle and so on. Beware that other rooms on the 1st floor at least are very small and one has no view. Parking is a problem. There are plenty of free public spaces outside but they are always full and you have to be lucky with someone leaving. We were but others seemed to be waiting ages. They offer a €35 Valet service. We thought we had booked diner ( one of the reasons to choose this hotel) but on arrival they denied any booking and the small dining room was of course full. They said they sent out confirmations of bookings... No effort to suggest an alternative for diner.
