We were originally booked at the smaller sister hotel. We were informed that they were closing for the season and they moved us to this hotel and upgraded our room. It was a great surprise to have such a beautiful room and a gorgeous view with a balcony. The staff were very helpful and even went above and beyond in helping us navigate to a different ferry when ours was cancelled due to wavy conditions. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were exceptional. We really enjoyed our stay.

Prosecco upon arrival!
The staff were super friendly, cheerful and helpful.
Perfect location with lovely views.
Was upgraded to a suite, which was spacious and beautifully decorated.
The breakfast was a mix of buffet and Al a carte and so delicious!
There was nothing to not like at this place!

The location of the hotel is great. At one end of the Riva with the hustle and bustle that brings. It was good for watching the boast come and go, and people watching the unending stream of visitors moving up and down the quay.
The breakfasts were amazing with an incredible range of options. I liked the fact that bubbles and bucks fizz appeared to be the norm!
The staff we very welcoming and friendly and provided excellent service. Check in (in the rain) was wonderfully handled with the offer or a towel with a glass of prosecco.
Hvar is a wonderfully historic town and has many wonderful sites to visit.
For the money, I thought our room was smaller than i expected. We booked a Marina Double with sea view, and it was incredibly tight - considering it was the most expensive hotel on our trip, it was a bit of a let down.
Hvar attracts many young groups drawn by the nightlife, which is great if its your thing but does have an impact. Late night returners to the hotel were disturbing.
The hotel, and many other establishments, rely heavily on the weather and most of the time that is fine, but in days of poor weather (as we experienced), it highlights limitations. Capacity for breakfast was challenged without the outside space and seating in the lounge area, just about adequate. These is no simple answer but it was a good job we were happy to share with other guests.
Put simply, we expected more for a premium price.
