Everything we needed was there. Parking was right in front of the house.

It was private,felt homey, had everything to cook meals, and a nice little sitting area outside.
It did smell a little musty but we kept the windows slightly open and it was fine.

It’s a nice cozy studio on the ground floor. The host lives in the same house, but the entrance is individual. There’s everything you need to cook. The area for cooking is quite small :) beds are comfortable. It’s very dark and quiet at night, nothing disturbs your sleeping.
The house is about 15 min walk from the station, a little uphill. I guess there is a taxi, but we never used it.
Also we got the Appenzell tourist card which is a real deal! Free transport in the region and 2 rides on funiculars + other perks like museums, pool, tennis, yoga etc. You can check the brochure.
The ceiling is a quite low, but it’s not a big deal :)
