Had a full English breakfast every morning, it was excellent. There was also other options such as toast with a variety of spreads and a range of cereals. Room was the perfect size and very clean. Shower was great, good water pressure and temp. Host is lovely, very accommodating and sociable if you fancy a chat! He’s lived in the area for 40 years so can offer good recommendations of the area.
If you’re walking to the B&B there is a bit of a hill you need to walk up to get there which can be a bit awkward if you’re carrying large suitcases like we was but when we got there the host said he would’ve picked us up from the station had he’d known. So just fyi

Double room conveniently located on the ground floor - a nice clean en-suite (the extraction fan was noisy but bearable). A T boat was available and sufficient for our stay (2 days) TV & WIFI facilities available - parking was a big plus taking into account the time of the year (summer) - outside parking was mayhem - we used A1 and Ace Cars to get back from our visits in town (£5). Rodney is a good chef and produced a fine breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.
Uplands B&B is situated on the Main Road into Town - plenty of traffic noise during the silent hours - we closed the front windows to alleviate that issue but we had to leave an access door open to circulate air because the room became very warm - a blackout curtain is available to be pulled across the open door - we were a bit apprehensive about leaving the door open to the parking area but we were assured by Rodney that it was safe to do so.
