It was peaceful outside in the evenings and the bed was comfortable.
The flies. Waking up to the smell of poo thanks to the dry toilet which was located on the other side of the kitchen. It was very hot inside and there weren’t basics in the kitchen like oil. Outside, there were stinging nettles on mass and our son developed a large rash from them.
