Warm water gaat middels boiler, dus zuinig douchen!

We used A cà du Baciccia as our base for exploring the Ligurian coast with our family (the grown ups, two kids, our dog), and it was amazing. Great value for money - while the house is not what one would call a luxurious accommodation, it has all you need for a very comfortable stay (comfy bedrooms, spacious living area, lots of kitchen equipment, washing machine, etc.). And you can sure tell someone who loved the place lived there before - a house with a spirit, really, feeling like borrowing a house from some very pleasant relatives. In terms of the surroundings, there are absolutely amazing views of the mountains, valley and the sea day and night. You can visit lots of super-interesting places nearby (you need a car, though, if you want to be flexible), including hiking trails right at the doorstep (mostly walked the dog there without any extensive hikes, as we simply had no time for that due to having too much fun at the coast, but would love to get back to explore those opportunities more). The drive up/down to/from the house some people apparently found a bit intimidating was no issue for us (was fun for the whole family, actually, only it's probably a good idea to be careful and respectful of the other traffic in the tighter bends); in any case, the short drive is more than a fair price for the views and tranquility up there. Last but not least, the host was super supportive, giving us lots of info on places to visit that might suit our needs and passions.
While we didn't really consider it a negative, the hot water / shower boiler has rather limited capacity, so it requires a bit of planning ahead if the whole family wants to have some excessive time in the shower. But for simply washing off the sweat and salt after a day by the sea, it was perfectly satisfactory for 4 people and a dog (she didn't like it all that much, but the boiler capacity had nothing to do with it, she's simply not a big fan of showers in general ;) ).

Views were fabulous from this lofty location and the house is roomy. However we found the property to be unsuitable for our own purposes and had to re-book another stay in a different location. Matteo was kind enough to make a considerable partial refund despite his own losses we we think this is very commendable.
