Friends, after spending the previous nights in places that felt like showrooms for the cheapest IKEA furniture, arriving here was like breathing Alpine air after the smog of Mumbai. Or like tasting a glass of fine Chablis Grand Cru after being punished with some vulgar cheap muscat.
This place is not accommodation. It is a memory, which feels as if you are visiting your French grandmother in a centuries-old château, somewhere above the valley, where everything is clean, faintly scented with lavender, and arranged not for effect, but with that rare and effortless beauty people once knew how to create. The red wooden floors glow softly beneath your feet. The mattress is deep enough to disappear into. There is not a single thing that feels cheap, synthetic, or offensively modern. There is a fireplace in the room. There is space. There are antique table lamps, not one or two, but many, each casting its own gentle pool of light, so that evening does not fall here, it gathers. Outside, the silence of the countryside lies deep and complete. Inside, every texture seems chosen by someone who understood that beauty is not luxury, but atmosphere. Dark old walls, floral fabrics, oak furniture, colours arranged with more taste and feeling than in most Broadway productions. Some places let you sleep. This one reminds you that life, when touched by grace, can still be beautiful.

Charging 2 euros for the towels is absurd. I hope this changes.
