Well equipped and updated apartment located in the heart of old Rovinj. The owners were delightful and so helpful. Highly recommend a few nights here

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Kalahari History. The location was perfect, putting us right in the heart of Rovinj with easy access to everything. The atmosphere was enhanced by the history, especially knowing our host, Damir, is a fifth-generation shoemaker. We loved the convenience of having our go-to spot right across the street, a great pub!
Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and well-situated stay.
There were a lot of steps, however Damir helped with the bags. There was some late night noise from patrons of the pub the first night. It stopped at 11pm.

the location was excellent and the host lovely
Do not underestimate how steep and uneven the stairs are, one apartment is on 2nd floor and one on 3rd, anyone older or with mobility difficulties will struggle. Also in the 3rd floor apartment there was a really bad smell from the drains, the host kept trying to fix it by putting bleach down but it was because the water trap kept getting sucked out meaning that smells from the sewers made it to the room. In the end we resorted to blocking the plug holes and overflow holes on sink and shower with wet tissue which helped. Also there are no smoke alarms or fire escapes if you are happy to take that risk. It is a shame because the host was genuinely trying to do his best and was so helpful and apart from drain smell and the stairs would be a lovely apartment but I would have moved accommodation if I could have done so and would not book it again. My friend's apartment on the second floor did not have the same problems with drains.
