Gruene River Guest House - High & Dry On The River

The Gruene River Guest House is a great location to experience all that the New Braunfels & Gruene area have to offer. Situated on 5 beautiful acres of open green space with 300 feet of Guadalupe River frontage it is the perfect location for family reunions, corporate events, small intimate weddings or any group gathering of up to 20 people. The Gruene River Guest House features 4 separate guest suites with 5 bedrooms which sleep 20 in total each with their own private entrance, smart TV and individual AC/Heat. The outdoor Cantina consist of a large covered kitchen and dining area with a huge propane grill, stove burners, ice machine, refrigerator, refrigerated drawers, microwave and sink. It has a 70" large screen outdoor smart TV, bluetooth enabled sound bar, multiple hot weather fans, cold weather propane patio heater, propane fired fire table, a 10 foot long raw edge cedar plank bar and a wide array of lighting. A wood/charcoal smoker is also available. There is a large deck shaded with large old oak and pecan trees with a Saluspa Hot Tub available with a $20 preparation fee and last but not least a beautiful private swimming pool. Along the river front there are huge ancient cypress trees towering over a private river landing for toobing, kayaking, fishing, or just hanging out in the river. Toobs and kayaks are available for guest use. Also, there is a walkway down to a shaded shallow area just in front of rapids perfect for little ones or lawn chairs in the water. There is a beautiful Gazebo perfect for a romantic riverside wedding or picnic by the rapids. In the open 5 acres there is a volleyball net and a 5 hole disc golf course. Also, there is a volleyball net for the swimming pool and an outdoor ping pong table. A golf cart is available for rent for $50/day to tool around the property and allow easy access to the river. On summer weekends multiple Guest House water cannons shoot water into the air at the riverfront to cool passing by toobers. All in all something for everybody!

There are 4 suites each with their own private entrance:

Farmhouse: The original house built in 1948 has a living room with a large screen cable TV, dining area, fully stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms each with a queen size bed, cable TV and 2 baths. Sleeps 4.

Texas Room: Texas themed room with a king size bed, cable TV, kitchenette and private bath. Sleeps 2.

Garden Room: Light and airy suite with 2 queen beds, cable TV, kitchenette and private bath. Sleeps 4.

Paris Room: Bunk house type suite with 4 queen beds and a sleeper sofa, cable TV w/DVD collection, dining area, kitchenette, and private bath. Perfect for kids. Sleeps 10.

Pets are generally not allowed but exceptions can be made for one maybe two pets under 50 lbs. You must request owner permission, sign a pet waiver and pay $50/day per pet fee/deposit before arrival.

Daily reservations for individual suites booked separately from the main house can be considered within 1 week of anticipated stay.
