Fantastic camping site - location, cleanliness, design of the lodges, mega helpful staff! and as a bonus - northern lights just outside the window!!
We came in the end of March choosing Ballangen Camping with “just to sleep” mindset, thinking we would need to “chase” the northern lights at nights, so what a pleasant surprise it was when we got to see the northern lights our first night just outside our window!!
We had the cheapest option they had to offer - cabin 10sq m, really small but really cute and has everything you need - fridge with freezer, table, chairs, cups, plates, cutlery, room heater. This type of cabin required to use shared kitchen, showers and toilets but that was not a problem at all since it’s fairly close to the cabin and is well maintained - kitchen has fantastic interior design with 4 sets of appliances, so you never have to wait for your turn to cook, showers always have HOT water which was so nice considering it’s still pretty cold in Norway in March.
I also noticed that most things people pointed out in their reviews were fixed - showers have locks and a big squeegee to remove water out of the shower; kitchens have ovens, microwaves, dishwashers and plenty of pans and pots to use.
In short, our stay here was fantastic and we would definitely love to visit Ballangen camping in the future to experience a warmer season in Norway while enjoying their pool area.

Clean and beautiful landscape. Fabulous big kitchen and bathroom.
There is no problem that bus stops in front of camping.

Majoitus oli todella siisti ja siellä oli helppo valmistaa ruokaa. Erityisesti pidin henkilökunnasta. Vaikka sisäänkirjautumisessa oli pieni ongelma, se ei haitannut meitä lainkaan, koska virheitä sattuu ja näin, että henkilökunta teki parhaansa. Jouduimme odottamaan vain noin 10 minuuttia, ja minulle tarjottiin jopa kahvia odotuksen aikana.
Haluan antaa erityismaininnan henkilökunnan ystävällisyydestä ja pelisilmästä. Olimme siellä talvella ja lunta tuli paljon, joten henkilökunta teki lumitöitä traktorilla. He ottivat lapset hetkeksi traktorin kauhaan kyytiin, ja siitä tuli yksi koko matkan kohokohdista.❤️
Jos jotakin kehitysehdotusta pitäisi antaa, niin olisin kaivannut suihkuun kuivauslastaa tai vastaavaa, jotta lattian voisi kuivata suihkun jälkeen. Mutta olisin varmasti saanut tällaisen henkilökunnalta jos olisin kysynyt joten ei hätää tämänkään suunnalta

The cabin was clean and there was parking space next to the cabin.☺️
The cabin was cold when we arrived, we had to go to find the staff and ask for extra heating because the heater did not work.
The beds were very unconfortable.
In the description they said the bar/restaurant and sauna were open during Easter but they were not. The camping is quite far from everything so It was very unconfortable to Drive 45 min to groceries as we couldnt enjoy the restaurant.
Staff hard to find around and lack of communication vía Booking messages.
