We booked a room based on reviews and location. The room was around back near the housekeeping area. There was not an outside area to dine and eat even though this was a kitchen apt. The clincher was the strong smell of beach. As the wife has asthma we couldn't stay in that room. The reception gal contacted the manager and he ok'd us to stay in an up stairs apt, which he didn't charge us the difference for. After a few hours in that apt. we began to ask ourselves what we had gotten ourselves into. The refrigerator was quite loud. I had to shut it off to sleep. It got worst. The toilet intermittently would run for a few minutes and made a horrible vibrating sound, so I had to shut the valve or not sleep at all. Just as we got settled in the dogs began to bark. Mind you this is Mexico and dogs do bark here. This was a symphony of 3-4 dogs , then just the little guy. It would start back up in a short while and continued for most the night. On a positive note all the staff are excellent and attend to your needs. If older people who go to the free yoga sessions and sit by the pool is your thing then this is your place.
