Dingle Bay Hotel

The room was big enough for two people, clean and equipped with all the usual amenities. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The breakfast selection is extensive, and the food is constantly replenished. We were on a tour and only stayed for one night.

As we were only there for one night, we didn’t notice anything particularly negative

Paid for bay view months prior to my visit and received an alley view of metal beer kegs that were rolled down the alley in the morning. Disappointing. Arrived prior to check in and told all the rooms were booked and there was nothing they could do.

The fact there was no one at reception from about 8pm until the following day, what if you need something. As soon as the last person goes from the bar it's closed up even if it is early in the night. The beds are too soft in the bedrooms. Water should be provided in the rooms, and a mini fridge. Some staff members in the bar/restaurant had a bit of an attitude (they didn't write down or dinner/drinks orders) and it ended up twice in the incorrect drinks being sent over by the same bar man. What made it worse was my friend who I was with heard the waitress who took the order giving out to the bar man when he pulled her up on the incorrect drink orders x 2 - and she blamed us, despite her not writing down the order. And we even said it clear and added a reminder the 2nd time, yet incorrect. Some of the food in the restaurant (even the scrambled egg at breakfast) was very bland, there was no seasoning.
