Hotel De Pastorij

Old (realy old :) ) wooden furniture in the room. Breakfast room. Breakfast was nice though not abundant. Guesthouse is small, less than 10 rooms.

Heating was switching on only at certain hours. Nobody was there when I came at ~18h but they opened remotely.

Location near or almost in city centre, friendly reception and spacious room.

Nice little hotel in the centre of Leuven, very close to everything. It has a cosy, homely atmosphere, both in the rooms and the common spaces. There is a salon with honesty bar, where also breakfast is served. Breakfast was plenty as well, with everything I needed. I can certainly recommend this place.

It's an old building, so you can hear people in the corrido. But this remark is more aimed at other guests who should keep quiet.

The hotel is centrally located in the historic center of Leuven. It is a walk from the railway station if you are on foot. It is a small property, which is ideal if you prefer a small-scale, home-like environment. The terrace looked lovely, though the weather prevented me from using it. I had breakfast there once and it was enjoyable, with well-prepared food. Everything was very clean, including the sheets, towels, bathroom, and toilet, which was important to me. The booking process was smooth and I had no issues during my stay.

The room was small and packed with too much furniture. It was fine for me alone, but it is too small for two people and would be better with a single bed. The worst part was the wall-to-wall carpet. It looked like a 1970s carpet that was 50 years old and just looked dirty. I also didn't think it was safe to have a small fridge sitting directly on that carpet. The furniture felt like a random mix of styles, from a 1930s nightstand and a 1950s desk to a 90s chair and a modern IKEA bed frame. The bathroom was Scandinavian and minimalist, but the room lacked any harmony. Also, the curtains were very thick. Since the room looked out onto other windows, I had to choose between having natural light or keeping my privacy. The privacy sticker on the window was too small to be useful, so people across the garden could see right in.
