The location is excellent, right in front of Mainz Central Station, which makes it very convenient if you’re traveling by train. The facilities were decent, and for a short stay without high expectations, it felt like a good value-for-money option.
However, our room was not ready even after the official check-in time, so we had to wait. It seemed this wasn’t just our case, as other guests who arrived after us were also waiting. I can’t generalize from a single stay, but the staff didn’t seem particularly apologetic about the delay.
They explained that several employees were sick that day and they were short on housekeeping staff. Still, if this situation was already expected, it would have been nice if they had informed guests in advance and perhaps offered a small gesture, such as complimentary drinks, while guests waited.
The room has an old model TV means no Netflix or YouTube. ;)

철도 딜레이와 플랫폼 변경으로 너무너무 피곤했는데 호텔 위치가 최고였고 직원이 너무 친절했어요. 방도 아늑하고 깨끗했습니다.
클린에서 별점 하나를 뺀 이유는 둘째날 3시 넘어서 귀가했는데 그때 청소하시는 분이 우리 방문을 열려고 하시더라고요. 청소하고 나오시는건가 했는데 그때 들어가려는 상황이었어서 결국 청소는 못하고 쓰레기봉투만 가지고 나가셨네요. 창밖도 중앙역이 바로 보여서 좋았고 깨끗하고 친절하고 아늑하고 기분 좋은 호텔입니다.

Well with the location it depends: If you come via train is a great location with car might be other hotels more suitable.
The sauna we saw last time, we use this time.
It is nice to strip and have a hot sauna in winter.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was the best room/hotel for our whole trip, in terms of spacious room size, located right opp the HBF, easy access to shopping and supermarket and there's even a Christmas market right outside the HBF. Highly recommended. We'll definitely stay here again next time when we are in Mainz.
