The Avondale Attic

Todo el departamento es perfecto, desde la decoración hasta la comodidad. El baño perfecto, la cocina totalmente equipada, las camas comodisimas, de verdad era como estar en casa. El sector es sumamente tranquilo y bonito, tiene un supermercado a 5 minutos, muchos lugares para comer cerca si no quieres cocinar. La línea azul del metro está a 10 minutos caminando lento, está línea hacia un lado te deja en el centro de la cuidad y hacia el otro en el aeropuerto O'Hare y transita las 24 horas. Además a unos metros de la casa pasa el bus 152.

The apartment itself is very cozy and nice, has literally everything one would need for a short or long stay. Very close to O'Hare and very comfortable to get to/from there by CTA Blue Line train

The place is relatively far from downtown and places of interest (though the ride by Blue Line takes about 30 mins and is 10 min by foot away) The toilet is not that comfortable due to it being too close to the roof slope

The place was easy to find and to get into! Well-appointed and comfortable. We were able to cook and do laundry. Very convenient.

Tall people need to be careful of slanted ceilings! It's an attic apartment, after all! Lol. Not a deal breaker, though.

The house where I rented the entire attic is located in a very quiet neighborhood in Avondale. From Ohare Airport, the CTA Blu Line subway ride takes 20 minutes and gets off at the Addison station. From the station, it's a 10-minute walk to the house, or you can take the 152 bus. From Addison, the city center is about a 20-minute subway ride away. The Metro Blu Line runs 24 hours a day. Nearby, there are numerous shops and restaurants, including a supermarket. The house is quiet and very clean. The apartment is fully equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, dryer, microwave, gas stove, coffee maker, two TVs, free high-speed internet, four beds, and two air conditioners. The apartment is divided into a bedroom, a small walk-in closet, a living room, a bathroom with a toilet, a small walk-in room with a bed, and a large kitchen. The contact with the owner is fantastic. If you have a car, you can park it on the street in front of the house, as the owner provides parking passes. If you're looking for an apartment with a lot of sunlight, you won't find it here. It's a usable attic with a single window in the bedroom. That didn't bother me. Tourists leave the house in the morning and return at night. The bathroom is stocked with plenty of towels, various toiletries, and a first aid kit. There are laundry detergents and dryer sheets. The host is available to help with any additional needs. Key collection is easy. The supermarket is open until midnight, and some restaurants are open 24/7. Chicago is safe. I've never had an unpleasant experience in the city, in the subway, or in the Avondale district, and for six days I was returning to my apartment at night. The city is full of tourist attractions, stunning views, and there are several beaches with clear water. All the buildings in the city center are huge and impressive. The city is beautiful at night; I recommend a night walk.
