This was our 2nd Thanksgiving at The Castle. It was even better this year because of the new oven/range. Two large ovens and two sets of stove tops. Induction technology so don't bring your own pans if they are not magnetic. They also supply lots of towels and paper goods. I hate it when owners are skimpy with those. We slept eight but had three more over for Thanksgiving dinner. Wonderful to have space to gather family. The back yard is fenced, so our dogs did fine. There are also wonderful hikes that start just outside the front gate. We'll be back again.Kim

Amazing! The Castle is absolutely beautiful! It is so spacious and feels like home. Kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you need. Beds are comfortable and there are extra sheets and blankets. Lots and lots of towels. The pool is relaxing and clean. Very well cared for. Nick is the most amazing host. Great communication before during and after! View is breath taking. There was a problem with the electrical outlets in the kitchen but Nick told us in advance and even offered to send an electrician right away. We LOVED our stay! Did I mention how awesome Nick was!!!!

Overall, our stay at this proper was a mixed bag. The location was absolutely stunning, as it was nestled atop a mountain, offering breathtaking views. It truly felt like a serene getaway. However, there were a few drawbacks that affected our overall impression.
Let's start with the positives - although the kitchen was a bit dated, it was well stocked with all the necessary items. It would have been a delight to cook in if not for the functional issues with the stove/oven. Unfortunately, it wasn't fully operational, which was inconvenient.
The bathrooms had been updated, which was a plus. However, there was an important detail that wasn't disclosed in the property description - we discovered signs stating that excess toilet paper should be placed in the trash, not the toilet. It would have been helpful to know this in advance, as it could influence one's decision to stay at the property.
One of the main drawbacks of our experience was the property manager. Unfortunately, he wasn't the friendliest or most accommodating individual. He didn't provide sufficient explanations regarding certain aspects of the property, such as the keybox, and he didn't allow for early check-in, which could have enhanced our stay. Additionally, when we inadvertently left a few items behind, his response was not accommodating. Instead of finding a suitable solution, he simply left our belongings in a trash bag and left it at the front door, which was disappointing and unprofessional.
